Fighting childhood hunger

IONIA COUNTY, Mich (WOOD) Childhood hunger is an epidemic affecting over 16 million children in this country, that’s one of every five children. The need is great. Ionia County has 8,660 food insecure residents. 3,530 are children. Montcalm County has 9,780 food insecure residents. 4,090 are children.

One local boy dedicated his time to help feed local kids in need, proving one person can make an impact.

You can become a food packer, a volunteer driver or sack decorator. It only takes one time a month to volunteer and make a difference.
