GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man who was holed up in a Cedar Springs mobile home for hours on Wednesday night has been charged.
Adam Lee Dickinson, 23, was charged Friday morning in 63rd District Court with one count of unlawful imprisonment, two counts of assault strangulation, two counts of resisting and opposing an officer causing injury and one count of child abuse. His bond was set at $250,000.
On Wednesday, Dickinson holed up in a mobile home at Cedar Springs Mobile Estates for more than four hours after his live-in girlfriend called police and said he had assaulted her. She told police he was armed with a shotgun and was in the residence with the couple’s 1-year-old daughter.
After several hours, the Kent County Sheriff’s Department Tactical Team went into the house and arrested Dickinson.
The 1-year-old was rescued when she was turned over to her mother.
Two members of the tactical team suffered minor injuries when taking Dickinson into custody.
