Empowering women in West Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOOD) It’s time to take a look at your summer reading list and start turning more pages between now and Labor Day! We’re featuring another title from the GR READS Summer Reading list. “Delilah’s Daughters” by Angela Benson is the story of three talented sisters who are trying to hit the big-time! Veronica, Roxanne and Alisha share the dream of hitting the Billboard Charts as the singing group “Delilah’s Daughters” but that dream is threatened by deception, fame, secrets and mistakes. Lessons can be learned from their story and so many more.  The Grand Rapids Public Library will be hosting an interactive panel discussion designed to empower all women in our community. The discussion will feature women of color with a wide range of experiences and voices.
