Something new at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum

KALAMAZOO, Mich (WOOD)  Summer can be a time of learning for kids and parents at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. This summer they continue their long-standing tradition of incredible exhibits and programs and admission is free!

What kid doesn’t love TINKERTOYS? There’s giant replicas of the classic TINKERTOY® construction set at the museum right now and it provides the framework for fun and educational activities.

There’s another exhibit called “Evidence Found: Explorations in Archaeology”. The exhibit focuses on southwest Michigan’s “backyard” archaeology projects, from the greater Kalamazoo area to Niles’ historic Fort St. Joseph dig. You get a chance to learn how the real science and methodology of archaeology compares with popular culture’s image of Indiana Jones.
