HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was stabbed multiple times outside of a home in Holland, police say.
The stabbing happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday night on E. 17th Street near Central Avenue.
Investigators discovered the 49-year-old male victim was stabbed multiple times on the left side of his torso after an argument with an acquaintance, the Holland Department of Public Safety said in a Thursday release.
A nearby bystander tried to break up the fight and was stabbed once in the leg.
The man who was stabbed multiple times was in serious condition on Thursday, according to police. The second victim did not seek medical attention.
The suspect, a 47-year-old, was found early Thursday and is expected to face a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and a second count of felonious assault.
Neither the victims’ nor suspect’s names were immediately released.
