LOWELL, Mich. (WOOD) It’s all about food, animals, and rides when the 81st annual Kent County Youth Fair comes to Lowell on August 10 through 15.
The fair is pulling out all of the stops for its 81st year, with a great line-up of events including a team tractor pull, dodge ball tournament, and rodeos.
The fair always has great programming at no cost to families. “Reading for Rides” returns this year, but with a twist. This year there is a book exchange for families. Kids 12 and under, read at least 5 books and ride free from noon to 4 p.m on Tuesday, August 11. Just print and bring in your filled-out reading log at KCYF.org. Kids are encouraged to bring gently used books to exchange for new books.
Guests can expect all of the typical fair animals like chickens, horses, pigs, sheep, and goats.
The Kent County Youth Fair begins Monday, August 10 and runs through August 15. It’s open every day from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. There is no gate or admission fee. Parking is $6 daily or $18 for the week. For more information and a schedule of events, visit the Kent County Youth Fair website.
