GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – It’s time to celebrate Latino culture in West Michigan by heading out to the ballpark! Enjoy a game of baseball with the West Michigan Whitecaps while supporting the Hispanic Center of West Michigan.
Wednesday, September 2nd is Latino Night with the West Michigan Whitecaps. A portion of each ticket sold will support the SOL Youth Program at the Hispanic Center. The SOL Youth Program provides educational support to the Latino youth community as well as mentoring and employment resources.
The game starts at 7:00 P.M. with special events happening before the game. At 5:30 P.M. there will be a VIP reception with music, food and beverages. Then at 5:45 P.M. Mariachi and folk dancers will be take place at the stadium’s front desk. Finally, at 6:30 P.M. watch the first pitch be thrown in by special Latino celebrities from around West Michigan.
