BLANCHARD, Mich. (WOOD) — Mecosta County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for the suspects who stole several spools of copper wire from Tri-County Electric.

Deputies say the spools of copper wire were stolen sometime Friday night or early Saturday from a pole barn at Tri-County Electric located at 3681 Costabella Avenue in Blanchard, southeast of Big Rapids.

The suspect or suspects had then loaded the copper wire onto a Tri-County Electric flatbed truck and drove off the property.

The truck was later located by a passerby at the intersection of Harrison Road and 10th Avenue without the copper wire.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Department.
