Man stabbed multiple times in Calhoun County

PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was stabbed multiple times during an altercation in Battle Creek Sunday morning.

The incident happened just before 5 a.m. in the 900 block of Parkview Avenue in Pennfield Township.

According to a news release, the victim, a 33-year-old Battle Creek man, was visiting his friend on Parkview Avenue when a physical altercation started. The man was stabbed multiple times by a 31-year-old woman from Pennfield Township.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The woman involved in the stabbing has been arrested for felonious domestic assault. She is being lodged at the Calhoun County jail pending arraignment.
