Police chase leads to recovery of $100K worth of stolen property

PULLMAN, Mich. (WOOD) — A police chase in Allegan County led to the recovery of stolen property worth more than $100,000, according to a Michigan State Police news release.

Around 8 a.m. Saturday police tried to pull over a black 2010 GMC pickup truck on I-196 near the Glenn exit in Allegan County for speeding, the release said.

The driver fled from police, a chase ensued and ended in Pullman. The suspect was arrested for fleeing and eluding, driving with a suspended license and improper registration.

While police investigated the incident, another suspect was located and arrested for receiving and concealing a stolen Ford heavy-duty pickup truck, a 2014 Jayco camper trailer, two John Deere tractors and two flatbed trailers — totaling over $100,000.
