Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash


JAMESTOWN TWP. Mich. (WOOD) — A man was seriously injured after a car collided with a motorcycle in Jamestown Township.

Authorities say a 21-year-old driver came to a stop at the intersection of Byron Road and 8th Avenue, but did not yield to an oncoming motorcycle driven by 72-year-old Bruce Wolfert of Grandville around 9 p.m. Monday.

Wolfert was taken to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital with serious injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to police.

The driver of the car was not hurt.
