GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) If you’re a fan of ABC’s “Shark Tank,” there is a real treat coming this fall. Barbara Corcoran is coming to Grand Rapids on November 6, a guest of the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR) Western Michigan Chapter.

Corcoran worked a range of jobs after barely graduating from high school. Finally she took out a $1,000 loan to start The Corcoran Group, which made her one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the country.

As one of the “sharks” on ABC’s hit TV show, “Shark Tank,” Barbara has ponied up her own money and invested in 22 businesses, competing to make those deals for all to see, then shepherding them to success. Corcoran’s new book, “Shark Tales,” takes you behind the scenes of her life and business.

Corcoran will speak at 9:30 a.m. on November 6 at Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids. Tickets are $50 and are available online.
