ArtPrize Adventures: Heartside pub art crawl

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD)– While Founders Brewing Co. released “Spectra Trifecta” earlier this month to benefit ArtPrize, it’s not the only local brewery with ties to the competition.

More than two dozen bars scattered across the city are hosting entries for this year’s ArtPrize, including 15 in the southern Heartside district.

Here is a “flight” of some of the 87 entries on display at watering holes throughout Heartside:

“The Fight Song” by Timothy Wulff

“Peace” by Sharron Ansell

Visitors are encouraged to write the name of their “peace hero” on this 8′ entry, which consists of five antique Steelcase chairs welded together.
