GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — ArtPrize OnScreen presented by the Waterfront Film Festival starts Friday.
The new partnership between the Waterfront Film Festival and ArtPrize gives visitors a chance to view 22 films over the course of three days.
ArtPrize OnScreen begins Friday and runs through Sunday at the Ladies Literary Club, located at 61 Sheldon Boulevard SE in Grand Rapids.
Organizers of the Waterfront Film Festival said this is the first time the festival has been competitive.
They’re splitting up $5,000 in cash prizes to filmmakers in three categories: Best feature, best short film and best documentary.
The films are also competing as entries in ArtPrize.
Individual tickets cost $12 and can be purchased through the Waterfront Film Festival online or at the door.
A free street party is also happening Friday at 2:30 p.m. outside of the Ladies Literary Club with live entertainment to kick off ArtPrize OnScreen.
