ENSLEY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person was killed and three others were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Newaygo County.
Michigan State Police say a 75-year-old Newaygo man was driving a pickup truck south on S. Elm Avenue at 120th Street when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into another pickup truck around 10 a.m. Thursday. The impact caused both trucks to crash into a third vehicle traveling east on 120th Street.
The 75-year-old, whose name was not released, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the second truck, a 59-year-old Howard City man, as well as the driver of the third vehicle, a 72-year-old Sand Lake woman, were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition, according to police. The passenger of the third vehicle, a 19-year-old Sand Lake man, was treated and released from the hospital.
Police say alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The crash is under investigation.
