Police: Woman approached by suspicious man in Georgetown Twp.

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after an 18-year-old woman was approached by a suspicious man in Georgetown Township.

Deputies received a call around 7:30 a.m. Friday about a woman who had just sat down in her car at her home on Sunningdale Drive when she was approached by a suspicious man. She told police he approached the car, but ran off when a family member came out of the home.

The man’s intent remains unclear at this time.

The man was described as Caucasian and was wearing a maroon hoodie, dark sweatpants and had rubber gloves on.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department wants to hear from anyone who may have seen him.
