NEW YORK (WWLP) – As one might expect, Pope Francis will begin and end his time in New York City with prayer.
Thursday evening, the pope visited St. Patrick’s Cathedral for evening prayer; on Friday, the final stop in this city is at Madison Square Garden with thousands of his faithful followers.
It’s another jam-packed day for the Holy Father in between, though. Friday morning, Pope Francis delivered his message to the world during the UN General Assembly.
From there, the Pope travels to the 9/11 memorial site for an interfaith service at 11:30 a.m..
Thursday, after his historic address to Congress, the Pope greeted the most important people in the crowd outside: the children. They’ll likely be the highlight of his day Friday when the pope visits Our Lady Queen of Angels school in East Harlem. Then the papal motorcade will travel through Central Park and end at Madison Square Garden for mass.
