The Laker baseball team went to Cuba in January 2012 on a humanitarian mission with a local non-profit organization. The documentary “A Lesson in Diplomacy: Grand Valley State University Baseball in Cuba” tells the story of that historic trip… from the baseball games to the players to the cultural experience.

The first public showing of “A Lesson in Diplomacy” is Saturday, October 24 at 1:30 p.m. The free screening will take place in the Loutit Lecture Hall in the Padnos Science Building on the Allendale campus. President Haas, athletic director Tim Selgo, and former head baseball coach Steve Lyon will make brief comments before the showing. After the film, hear the background of the film and stay for fellowship and finger food.
