GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police are investigating a stabbing that took place in the city’s southeast side on Sunday morning.
Police say the victim, a 37-year-old man, was stabbed multiple times in the chest and abdomen. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The stabbing happened around 7:50 a.m. Grand Rapids Police Department officers initially responded to an area near Union and Hall streets SE, but now think the stabbing actually occurred in the area of Madison Avenue and Franklin Street SE.
Police say the victim is not cooperating with investigators.
No one has been arrested in connection to the assault. GRPD is still investigating.
