GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The public and juried ArtPrize finalists have been named, but who has the right formula to win?
Art critics debated that question again Monday and Tuesday evening during “Critical Discourse: Why These Finalists?” live on WOOD TV8.
Monday evening, the art experts discussed the finalists in the two-dimensional and installation categories. The panel included ArtPrize 2014 winner Anila Quayyum Agha; Jillian Steinhauer, senior editor of the art blogging site Hyperallergic; and Nicole Caruth, the artistic director for exhibitions and public engagement at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, Nebraska.
