Search ends for missing Battle Creek girl

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) —  The search for a missing five-year-old girl from Battle Creek is over.

Haley Elswick was reported missing Tuesday, amid a court order to move her to temporary custody of Child Protective Services.Officers believed the girl was with her mother, Cassandra Elswick.

Around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, police and CPS workers were contacted by Haley’s grandfather and a friend of the child’s mother, who said they had Haley. When officers and CPS workers arrived at the home, they found Haley was happy and healthy.

Her mother still hasn’t been found.
