FBI: Brothers arrested in Mexico for 2007 GR murder

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Two brothers wanted for a 2007 homicide in Grand Rapids were arrested in Mexico on Monday.

Juan Enrique Reyes and Eric Reyes Santiago were arrested in Guadalajara, Mexico in connection to the September 2007 drive-by shooting death of Ryan Pollok in Grand Rapids, according to a news release from the FBI.

The two were returned to Michigan Monday night, the release said.

On Tuesday, Juan Reyes was arraigned in 61st District Court on open murder and assault with intent to commit murder charges. Eric Santiago is in the Kent County Jail but has not yet been arraigned. He is expected in court Thursday morning.

Pollok, 20, was shot and killed on Sept. 30, 2007 while attending a party in the 700 block of Cutler Street SW, according to a news release from the Grand Rapids Police Department.

The brothers fled to Mexico after the homicide, and were later featured on “America’s Most Wanted.”
