GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) See a holiday classic the way you’ve never seen it before. “A Christmas Story – The Musical” is based on the story of Ralphie Parker, who has a big imagination and one really big wish for Christmas.
Grand Rapids Civic Theatre is one of the first theatres allowed to perform the musical outside of New York. Until now, it ran on Broadway for three years.
Complete with memorable elements like the leg lamp, pink bunny pajamas, a cranky Santa, and a triple dog-dare to lick the flagpole, fans of “A Christmas Story” are sure to love this new spin.
“A Christmas Story – The Musical” runs November 20 through December 20 at Grand Rapids Civic Theatre with special Thanksgiving performances on November 25 and 26 at 7:30 p.m.
