The music season kicks off at St. Cecilia

String ensemble

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) November is a magical time for music with two events coming up at St. Cecilia Music Center.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Series

St. Cecilia just completed a three-year partnership with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and is bringing them back for a new series. “The Golden Age of the Violin” is an all-string concert on November 12 featuring smaller ensembles. There is a pre-concert reception with artist talk as well as a post-concert reception. This is the beginning of a three-concert series. Get a 15% discount if you buy tickets to all three concerts.

Acoustic Café Folk Series

The Americana bluegrass band The Steel Wheels kicks off the Acoustic Café Folk Series on November 22. The series is a partnership with Rob Reinhart, host of the nationally syndicated radio show Acoustic Café. The Steel Wheels will tape an interview with Reinhart at St. Cecilia, perform live, and answer questions. Tickets are available as a single event or for four Acoustic Café Folk Series events.
