GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Consumers Energy is making it even easier for customers to get updates on power outages in their area.
Customers can now sign up to receive alerts on their phone when there is an electrical outage in their area (including scheduled outages) and when power is expected to be restored. To sign up, text REG to 232273 (CECARE).
With potentially damaging winds expected across West Michigan beginning Wednesday night through Friday, Consumers Energy is already preparing for an increase in power outages.
Customers can also use the Consumers Energy online outage map for updates.
