STURGIS, Mich. (WOOD) — A $4,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever stole 21 guns from a Sturgis firearms store.
The theft from Outpost Guns on S. Centreville Road in Sturgis was discovered in the early hours of Thursday, according to a release from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Workers found that someone had broken out the window of the front door and then taken six handguns and 15 long guns from a glass case.
Outpost Guns is a federal firearm licensee. As a result the ATF is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction, which the National Shooting Sports Foundation is matching for a total of $4,000 in reward money.

The NSSF’s match of the ATF’s reward is part of a national cooperative program between the agencies to offer rewards when guns are stolen from federal firearm licensees. Outpost Guns is a federal firearm licensee.
