KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) The Jericho Foundation helps change the lives of people in Bosnia, one student at a time. The foundation provides scholarships to students in the country, bringing them to the United States for education and training so they can return to Bosnia and help rebuild the country, which is still devastated from the war in the 1990s.

Elma Kadrich received a scholarship from Jericho Foundation and traveled to Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo to train to be a nurse. She now works at a hospital in Bosnia.

Kadrich will be among the speakers to share her story at Jericho Foundation’s Night of Hope. The silent auction event is Friday, November 13 at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Kalamazoo. It includes a silent auction, appetizers, and a cash bar. The event begins at 6:30 p.m., with dinner and a program at 8 p.m. Individual tickets are $70 or $60 each for a table of ten.
