Boil water advisory in Shelby lifted

SHELBY, Mich. (WOOD) — The boil water advisory for the Village of Shelby has been lifted.

The boil water advisory was issued Thursday after village officials said the water system tested positive for Coliform bacteria, which is an indicator that other bacteria may be present in the water.

The village said it was informed on Sunday that the advisory could be lifted.

Friday, Ice Mountain donated water to affected residents.
