Police: 5 shot in 3 separate locations in GR

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police are investigating three separate shootings that all took place early Sunday morning.

One of the shootings happened on Grandville Avenue SW near Clyde Park. Authorities say the victim in that shooting suffered serious injuries, but is in stable condition. A K-9 unit was brought in, but was unable to track anything.

Another shooting took place near the Globe Apartments on Commerce Avenue. Police say three people were shot, and are in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police were also told of a man who was driven to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities say that wound appears to be self-inflicted.

Grand Rapids police say there is no information on potential suspects at this time.
