EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Police in Emmett Township say they have identified a person of interest in a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of E. Columbia Avenue and Majorie Street, according to a news release from the Emmett Township Department of Public Safety. Police say a 62-year-old Battle Creek man was walking across E. Columbia Avenue near Marjorie Street when he was hit by an eastbound vehicle. The driver fled the scene.
Wednesday, police said they had found the suspect vehicle and identified and interviewed a person of interest. They said the case remained under investigation.
The victim’s name and condition have not been released.
