GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – Support the Salvation Army this Friday and watch as the Grand Rapids Griffins take on San Diego Gulls.
The Salvation Army is the presenting sponsor of the “Red Kettle Game” at Van Andel Arena Friday, November 20th and faceoff is at 7 p.m.
When you buy tickets for this game a portion of your ticket will go to support the year round services and programs of our local Salvation Army Services. The tickets are lower bowl seats and go for $23 each, with $6 going directing to the Salvation Army.
Besides for supporting the Salvation Army and enjoying a great game of Grand Rapids Griffins hockey, there are other special events planned for the evening.
A specially designed Salvation Army “Red Jersey” will be auctioned off. The Salvation Army Brass Band will be performing “God Bless America” at a USA flag presentation of a giant 80 foot flag.
Griffins Jerseys will be autographed and auctioned off after the game with proceeds benefiting the Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army offers social services including food for the hungry, disaster relief, assistance for the disabled, as well as clothing and shelter for those struggling with homelessness.
