Satanic message discovered on side of W. MI church

Investigators believe the vandalism happened between Nov. 17 and Nov. 18, 2015.

EUREKA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD)– Investigators are trying to track down the vandal who left a satanic message on a church just south of Greenville.

The message spray-painted on the east side of Belgreen Seventh Adventist Church read “Thank God for satan| God is a lie.”

Church members discovered the damage around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, but deputies believe the crime happened overnight Tuesday, when it was dark outside.

Montcalm County Sheriff’s deputies are calling the crime “religiously biased,” but have few leads to go on.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office at (989) 831-7590.
