GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Not too many musical instruments have a place in Grand Rapids history, but the Mighty Wurlitzer at the Grand Rapids Public Museum does!
The Mighty Wurlitzer organ at the museum was made in 1928. It was at a local pizza restaurant for years before it came to the museum in 1994.
You can experience the unique music of the Mighty Wurlitzer at upcoming events. Dale and Gail Zieger will perform music written between the 1920s and 1980s on Friday, November 27, and Saturday, November 28 at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. Visit their website for ticket information.
