Police: Man arrested after pointing gun at passing driver

MT PLEASANT, Mich. (WOOD) — A Greenville man was arrested in connection to a road rage incident on a highway in Isabella County.

A 33-year-old man from Farwell was driving northbound on US 127 near E. Rosebush Road when the suspect’s vehicle had blocked him from passing, so he flashed his headlights at the vehicle.

As both vehicles continued traveling northbound, the man told police he was attempting to pass when the suspect pointed a handgun at him.

The victim backed off and then called Isabella County Central Dispatch.

Troopers were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle in Clare County. The suspect was in possession of a .40 caliber handgun, which he was legally carrying.

The suspect, a 58-year-old Greenville man, was arrested and lodged in the Isabella County Jail for a charge of felonious assault. He is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
