GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The 8th annual New Year’s Eve Party in Grand Rapids is moving to a new location.
Event organizers announced that the 2016 Hot New Year’s Eve Party will take place at the intersection of Grandville and Cherry Avenues, near Founders Brewing Company and The Intersection. This is a change from the 2015 party, which took place in Calder Plaza.
Organizers say the change was made to bring the event closer to bars and other locations. This marks the fourth location change for the New Year’s celebration since 2008.
The event will kick off at 7 p.m. on Dec. 31, and will feature music from GR’s Big Talent winner Ja’leeyna Dooley, as well as Tryon, Five Knives, Kevn Rudolf and Carolina Liar. There will also be a beer garden on Cherry Street.
