Home Repair Services changes hands, continues mission

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) After 34 years of helping people maintain better homes and neighborhoods, Dave Jacobs is retiring from his leadership role at Home Repair Services.

Jacobs was at the helm of the organization when it started as a way to help keep people in their homes and encourage home ownership. In his time with Home Repair Services, he has overseen 22,000 households served.

The mission of Home Repair Services will continue in the hands of Joel Ruiter. He has a background in affordable housing and senior living.
