GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) ‘Tis the season to give back! From December 1 to December 18, the Ionia and Montcalm County school districts are hosting a friendly competition to help raise donations for the IM Kids 3rd Meal Program. IM Kids 3rd Meal is a feeding program committed to ending childhood hunger in Ionia and Montcalm Counties by providing a third meal daily to local kids in need.

Fill A Bag Campaign: How to Participate

The West Michigan community is invited to fill a bag with non-perishable donations of needed items for the IM Kids 3rd Meal Program. You can fill a regular grocery bag or pick up a bag from the following locations:

  • Ionia ISD building (2191 Harwood Rd. Ionia, Michigan 48846)
  • Montcalm ISD building (621 New St, Stanton, MI 48888)
  • H.O. Steele building (10260 South Sheridan Rd Fenwick, MI 48834-9703)

  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly/Jam
  • Sandwich Bread
  • Applesauce
  • Fruit Cups
  • Pretzels
  • 100% Fruit Juice Boxes
  • Seasonal Fruit
  • Sandwich Bags
  • Snack Bags
  • Paper Lunch Bags
  • Cheerios

Community members can fill a bag now through December 18th and drop it off at a participating location (listed above). Whichever district raises the most donations will get the coveted “Golden Bag Award!”
