KCAS Pets of the Week: Buttercup, Riley and Harley

Buttercup, Riley and Harley

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Meet Buttercup, Riley and Harley, this week’s featured pets of the week from the Kent County Animal Shelter!

First, meet Buttercup, a male Lionhead rabbit. He’s very fluffy!

Next, meet Riley and Harley, 5-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier sisters. They were surrendered to the shelter and KCAS is hoping to adopt them out together because they have bonded.

Both dogs are playful and energetic, and have lived in homes with kids before.

Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation, adoptions on all pets are free for the remainder of the year (new owners are still responsible for the $12 dog license).

Because of the adoption special, KCAS has adopted out 76 pets, with only 44 more to go before the New Year to top its all-time high of 1,028 adoptions.
