Police seek suspect who robbed Kentwood dollar store

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a dollar store in Kentwood Friday morning.

The armed robbery happened around 10 a.m. at the Family Dollar located on 52nd Street near Eastern SE.

Police say a man showed a small revolver and demanded money from the clerk. No shots were fired and no one was injured.

The suspect ran away from the store heading north. He was able to get away with an unknown amount of money.

A K-9 unit was brought in to track the suspect, but was unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 20-30 years old. He was wearing a cloth, which covered his face, and was wearing baggy jeans.
