Man airlifted to hospital after Van Buren Co. crash

BLOOMINGDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man is in serious condition after a single-vehicle crash in Van Buren County.

It happened around 11 p.m. on Saturday in the 45000 block of County Road 380 near 44th Street.

Van Buren County sheriff’s deputies say the driver, a 19-year-old male, was westbound on County Road 380 when he crossed the centerline, left the road and struck a tree. Authorities say he was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries.

The man was airlifted to the hospital. Authorities say no one else was in the vehicle with him.

Deputies say they do not believe the driver was wearing a seat belt.
