MSP: Man buys car with counterfeit cash

WHITE PIGEON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Michigan State Police are looking for the man who bought a car in St. Joseph County using counterfeit money.

It happened in the 6700 block of Klinger Lake Road in White Pigeon Township, according to MSP. That’s in between the village of White Pigeon and Sturgis.

MSP says the man bought a black four-door 2003 Saab Vector using fake $20 and $100 bills.

The suspect was described as a 6-foot black male in his mid-20s. He had a goatee and went by the name “Bo.”

He is believed to have driven to Michigan from the Chicago area to buy the car, which had been advertised on Craigslist. A woman was with him.

Anyone with information about the suspects or whereabouts of the stolen car are asked to call the Michigan State Police Marshall Post at 269.558.0500.
