GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) There’s no reason to be bored during winter break with a fun event at Grand Rapids Public Museum.

The museum is bringing back its “Night at Your Museum” event on Sunday, December 27. The event is based on the popular “Night at the Museum” movies. Participants will get to explore the dimly-lit museum from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. using a souvenir flashlight and honorary security guard badge. Exhibits will come to life with dancing, duels, and battles.

Guests can catch a ride on the carousel, see a planetarium show, and a Mighty Wurlitzer Theater Organ concert.

Make your evening even more special by having dinner with the queen! At the unique prequel to the night’s main event, guests will learn about castle life and what it takes to be a Knight of the Realm. Tickets for the dinner are $40 and include admission to the Night at Your Museum program. Dinner begins at 4:45 p.m. Limited tickets are available.

Night at Your Museum sells out every year. Advance tickets are available online at grpm.org. They are $20 per person. All proceeds benefit the programs and exhibitions at Grand Rapids Public Museum.

For more winter break fun, Grand Rapids Public Museum will have Snowflake Break from December 19 through January 3. There will be 1920s era games, hands-on activities, and more from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The museum is also open until 8 p.m. on December 21 through 23 and December 28 through 30. It is closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
