What would the 12 days of Christmas actually cost?

(WISH/WOOD) — On the 12th day of Christmas, your true love may want to seek some financial assistance.

PNC Bank visited WISH-TV Friday to explain the real cost behind the famous song.

Every year, PNC Bank calculates what it would cost to buy every item — including the quantity of item specified in the song.

This year, the tally reached $34,140.99, which is $198 more than last year.

The most costly time was the seventh day of Christmas; the seven swans-a-swimming came in at $13,125.

PNC Bank has more information on its PNC Christmas Price Index website.
