GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD)– Two dogs looking for a home this holiday season are this week’s featured pets of the week.

First, meet Leia. She’s a black and white American Staffordshire Terrier. Leia is a very active and sweet 1-year-old dog. The Kent County Animal Shelter employees say she’s a fast learner, picking up commands fast from anyone willing to invest some time to train her.

Next is Linda, a beautiful 2-year-old German Shepherd. She’s a calm dog who loves attention. KCAS employees say she would make a great addition to anyone’s home this Christmas.

Now is the time to adopt; through the end of the year, the Bissell Pet Foundation is covering all pet adoption fees. New dog owners must still pay the $12 license fee.
