GRPD seeking out homeless at risk during winter storm

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police are asking for the public’s help locating homeless people who may need help getting to a shelter during Monday’s winter storm.

The Grand Rapids Police Department is sweeping downtown as well as parts of the city’s west side.

According to Storm Team 8, Grand Rapids will receive a quarter to a half of an inch of ice. Strong winds will also be a problem with gusts in the 30 to 50 mph range.
