EAST LANSING, Mich. (WOOD/WLNS) – At least one campus couch was burned following Michigan State University’s loss to Alabama in the Cotton Bowl.
It happened around 11:45 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of Grove Street, near Burcham in East Lansing.
WLNS reports that by the time their crews arrived, only a few charred pieces of the couch were left.
The campus was relatively quiet early Tuesday morning, as MSU students were on winter break.
No major disturbances were reported in East Lansing’s Cedar Village, which is traditionally a hot spot for revelry and rioting following MSU basketball and football games.
East Lansing police were ready with several police cars stationed nearby in case any chaos broke out.
