BUFFALO, N.Y. (WOOD/WIVB) — A photo gaining nationwide attention shows what can happen if you park your vehicle too close to a Great Lake.

Monday morning, WIVB captured this image of a car covered in a thick sheet of ice in Buffalo, New York. Waves churned up by a winter storm crashed into the vehicle, which was parked near Lake Erie.

It’s safe to say the driver is going to need more than an ice scraper to get back behind the wheel.
