SB US-131 reopens near Wayland after semi crash

WAYLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — The southbound lanes of US-131 between Dorr and Wayland has reopened following a crash involving two semi-trucks.

Dispatchers told 24 Hour News 8 that two semi-trucks collided on southbound US-131 near the Wayland exit before 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Authorities opened southbound US-131 after 142nd Avenue around 7:15 a.m. The highway was shut down as crews removed the jackknifed semi-trucks.

Both truck drivers suffered minor injuries, according to Allegan County Dispatch.
