GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A ramp connecting two busy highways in Ottawa County was closed for around two hours after a rollover crash Thursday afternoon.

Crews closed the ramp from westbound I-196 to eastbound M-6 in Georgetown Township around 12:50 p.m. Thursday after an asphalt truck overturned.

Authorities say the driver, Marco Guillen, lost control on the wet roadway and struck a guardrail. His truck overturned, spilling asphalt onto the ramp.

Guillen was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The ramp reopened shortly after 2 p.m., according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
