GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) A mainstay restaurant on Michigan Street in Grand Rapids has a brand new look. The Wendy’s restaurant was just revamped for the first time in 40 years and is now celebrating its grand re-opening.
The new Wendy’s has a more inviting environment, with an open floorplan, fireplace, outdoor patio, and Wi-Fi. It’s also far more efficient, with a brand new kitchen that streamlines service and two drive-thru lanes.
As part of the ribbon cutting ceremony, Wendy’s of Michigan and Meritage Hospitality presented a $100,000 check to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. The money will go toward the hospital’s Care Partners Program, which helps coordinate care for patients and families who travel long distances to the hospital.
